Project Overview

Designed and implemented Censify, a Ruby on Rails engine embedded within FMS
Engine applications to track census changes for consumers and providers and
publish authoritative events for PMPM billing accuracy.

The engine automatically instruments the StatusRecord model to detect
creations, transitions, closures, and destructions, publishing normalized
events to Kafka without requiring application code changes.

Implemented support for direct updates, close-and-create patterns,
running totals aggregation, daily summary publishing, and optional
PaperTrail integration to capture who initiated each change.

Censify serves as a single source of truth for census state across
environments, enabling correct downstream billing, reporting, and auditability
in a regulated healthcare platform.
